Kingston, Canada

The city of Kingston is located on the north shore of Lake Ontario, Canada. Kingston was the first capital of the united Canadas before Confederation from 1841 to 1844 and the home of Canada's first Prime Minister, Sir John A. Macdonald. Kingston also known as "the Limestone City" because many historic buildings and castles were built from limestone. Friendly and charming city of Kingston offers a lot of activities to enjoy. There are museums, theaters and galleries for art lovers, including the Agnes Etherington Art Centre located at Queens University. Beautiful waterfronts are perfect for boating, fishing and scuba diving. In downtown shopping district you can find many specialty stores, outlet malls and boutiques so don't forget to buy some souvenirs to share with family and friends!
